The Famous People Linked to Sexual Assault Lawsuits Against Sean Combs

  • Sean Combs, whose homes were raided by federal officials in March, has been hit by a series of lawsuits.
  • The complaints against Diddy allege sexual assault and sex trafficking, and some include allegations against other known figures — though not all of the celebrities are listed as defendants.
  • Here are the famous people mentioned in the sexual assault lawsuits against Combs.

There are still few details known about why federal officials raided the Los Angeles and Miami homes of musician Sean Combs in March.

The Associated Press and Los Angeles Times reported that the move is part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation by Homeland Security. The department has not confirmed the target of the investigation nor the crimes it is investigating.

The raids come after Combs, more commonly known as Diddy, has been hit by a series of lawsuits alleging sexual assault, sexual misconduct, and sex trafficking.

Seven separate lawsuits, one of which was filed by his former girlfriend Casandra Ventura, provide detailed allegations of rape, abuse, and drugging.

Combs has denied all the allegations against him. In response to requests for comment from Business Insider after the raids, his attorney Aaron Dyer said in a statement:

“Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way. This unprecedented ambush — paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence — leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits. There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent.”

Some of the powerful and wealthy people in Combs’ orbit are outright accused by plaintiffs of wrongdoing — whether that be witnessing the abuse and not stopping it or providing drugs to Combs. Others — like Prince Harry or Nicki Minaj — are simply mentioned in passing and not accused of any wrongdoing.

For decades, the hip-hop mogul has been surrounded by accusations of violence — sometimes involving other very famous names.

Here are the well-known people linked to the accusations against Combs.

Planet Fitness value plummets $400M after transgender turmoil

Planet Fitness critics are saying “go woke, go broke,” calling on the top fitness chain to receive the “Bud Light” treatment after an uproar over its transgender locker room policy created a social media stir.

The chain saw a $400 million dive in valuation from $5.3 billion to $4.9 billion just days after revoking an Alaska woman’s membership for snapping photos of a transgender woman, who was biologically male, shaving in the women’s locker room, according to a Daily Mail report.

Patricia Silva’s issue was first reported by the conservative X account Libs of TikTok, which has since continuously urged gym goers to boycott the chain and blasted the company for creating unsafe spaces for women. On Tuesday, the account shared an update regarding the valuation drop.

“Whoa. Planet Fitness saw $400 Million wiped off its value since we broke the story of them allowing men in female lockers rooms and then banning the woman who exposed it. Turns out people don’t want to support companies who cave to gender pseudoscience and allow men in womens’ private spaces! #BoycottPlanetFitness Do not let up! Keep it going!” the post read.

Silva claimed a 12-year-old girl who was in the locker room was also uncomfortable with the biological male’s presence.

Planet Fitness confirmed Silva’s membership was canceled after taking photos and/or videos in the locker room –—a policy violation.

Microsoft’s first AI PCs are the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 for businesses

Microsoft is gearing up for its “year of the AI PC” with two new Surface devices that won’t be sold directly to consumers. The Surface Pro 10 for Business and Surface Laptop 6 for Business both feature Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, Microsoft’s new Copilot key, and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to accelerate some existing and upcoming AI-powered features in Windows 11. Microsoft is calling them “the first Surface AI PCs built exclusively for business.”

Both of these new Surface devices haven’t been redesigned on the outside, so the Surface Pro 10 for Business will look largely like the Intel version of the Surface Pro 9. The Surface Laptop 6 for Business has an additional USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port and an optional smart card reader, but the screen bezels and overall design are very much the same as the Surface Laptop 5. Both will start shipping to commercial customers on April 9th.

Surface Pro 10 for Business

Microsoft usually lags behind in adopting the latest Intel chips for Surface devices, but this time around, the company is one of the first out of the gate to ship Intel’s new Core Ultra processors.

On the Surface Pro 10 for Business, there’s a choice between Core Ultra 5 135U and Core Ultra 7 165U options, alongside a base spec of 8GB of memory that’s configurable all the way up to 64GB of RAM. The base spec that will retail at $1,199 will also include a 256GB Gen4 SSD. The Surface Pro 10 for Business will include two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and Microsoft’s Surface Connect port for charging. Microsoft is promising up to 19 hours of battery life with these new Intel chips.

Microsoft has improved the 13-inch display on the Surface Pro 10 for Business with a new antireflective coating and 33 percent more brightness. Despite rumors that falsely claimed Microsoft would unveil a Surface Pro 10 with OLED today, the Surface Pro 10 for Business will ship with an LCD display.

I asked Microsoft about the rumors of a Surface Pro 10 with an OLED display. “We are not announcing that product at this time,” says Nancie Gaskill, general manager of the Surface business, in an interview with The Verge. That sure sounds like the product exists,

US business activity stable in March; inflation picks up

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. business activity held steady in March, but prices increased across the board, suggesting that inflation could remain elevated after picking up at the start of the year.

S&P Global said on Thursday that its flash U.S. Composite PMI Output Index, which tracks the manufacturing and services sectors, dipped to 52.2 this month from 52.5 in February. A reading above 50 indicates expansion in the private sector.

The modest slowdown reflected a further cooling in services sector activity. Manufacturing climbed to a 21-month high. The survey suggested that the economy ended the first quarter on solid ground, though the pace of growth probably slowed from the October-December quarter’s 3.2% annualized rate.

The United States continues to outperform its global peers, despite 525 basis points worth of interest rate hikes from the Federal Reserve since March 2022 to quell inflation.

The U.S. central bank on Wednesday left its policy rate unchanged at the current 5.25%-5.50% range, but policymakers indicated they still expected to reduce it by three-quarters of a percentage point by the end of this year.

The S&P Global survey’s measure of new orders received by private businesses slipped to 52.1 from 52.3 in February. Its measure of prices paid for inputs increased to a six-month high of 58.9 from 55.5 in February. The output prices gauge rose to 56.8, the highest reading since April 2023, from 54.1 in February. Much of the price increases were in services.

With goods disinflation likely drawing to an end, the increase in services prices will need to slow considerably to keep overall inflation on a downward trajectory.

This month’s increase in both input and output prices hinted at further rises in inflation in the coming months. Consumer prices have risen strongly in the first two months of 2024.

“Costs have increased on the back of further wage growth and rising fuel prices, pushing overall selling price inflation for goods and services up to its highest for nearly a year,” said Chris Williamson, chief business economist at S&P Global Market Intelligence. “The steep jump in prices from the recent low seen in January hints at unwelcome upward pressure on consumer prices in the coming months.”

Manufacturing expanded further, with the survey’s flash manufacturing PMI edging up to 52.5 this month, the highest reading since June 2022, from 52.2 in February.

Growth in new orders slowed, but employment increased and
